Digipay
Digipay is a digital payment platform in India that allows users to make electronic transactions, such as sending and receiving money, paying bills, and buying goods and services online. It was launched by the Government of India in December 2016 as part of its efforts to promote a cashless economy and reduce the use of physical currency.
Digipay is available as a mobile application and can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. It allows users to link their bank accounts with the app and transfer money to other users who have also registered on the platform. The app supports transactions through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system, which allows users to transfer money instantly between bank accounts using a mobile device.
Apart from person-to-person payments, Digipay also allows users to pay for various services, such as utility bills, mobile recharge, and DTH recharge, among others. It also provides a feature for merchants to accept payments from customers using a QR code.
Overall, Digipay is a convenient and secure platform for digital payments, and its adoption has helped to increase the penetration of digital payments in India.
